Pair of ruby and diamond earrings

Each of drop-shaped pendent design, set with circular-cut, pear and cushion-shaped rubies and circular-cut diamonds, post and butterfly fittings, French assay marks.

Each post stamped with French Import marks and 750 for 18 carat gold. Rubies vary in colour, from pinkish-red to deep red, transparent-translucent, numerous typical inclusions visible under magnification, a few surface reaching and causing small cavities. Rubies with surface scratches small chips and rubbed facet edges. Diamonds bright and lively, estimated total diamond weight approximately 2.50-3.00 carats, estimated clarity SI1, estimated colour H-J as graded within the limitation of the mount. Mount with light surface scratches. There is some yellow solder around posts and some spots of discolouration around posts. Length approximately 50mm each. Overall condition good.
