Claw-set with an oval ruby weighing 5.30 carats, size M, illustrated unmounted.
Condition
Accompanied by SSEF report no. 81239, stating that the ruby is of Thai origin, with indications of heating. Measuring approximately 10.70 x 8.89 x 6.40mm, calculated to weigh approximately 4.60-5.330 carats.
Ruby is mid-red, transparent, with typical inclusions visible under magnification. Stone with surface wear, few scratches, rubbed facet edged and small chips. A few more prominent chips on pavilion. Mount with very minor surface wear. Overall condition good.
