Sapphire and diamond ring

Set with a rectangular step-cut sapphire weighing 7.02 carats, between baguette diamond shoulders, size J, French assay marks.

Accompanied by GCS, report no. 5777-7442, stating that the sapphire is of Sri Lankan origin, with no indications of heat treatment. Shank stamped with French import assay marks for 18 carat gold and platinum. Sapphire mid to light violet-blue, transparent, with typical inclusions visible under magnification, measuring approximately 11.4 x 9.7 x 6.1mm, calculated to weigh approximately 6.75 carats, small areas of very minor wear and chipping to facet edges. Diamonds bright and lively, estimated total diamond weight approximately 0.60 - 0.80 carats. Light scratches to stone and metal surfaces consistent with wear. In good condition.
