Gem set and diamond brooch

Modelled as a parakeet, its body and head set with single-cut diamonds, its wings set with polished emeralds and rubies, its eye and beak set with onyx.

Please note that some of the rubies and emeralds in this piece appear to be synthetic. Diamonds are bright and lively, estimated total diamond weight approximately 0.80-1.00 carats, estimated clarity SI, some with small chips. Emerald and synthetic emeralds mid-green, some pale, appears clean. Rubies and synthetic rubies are mid-red, some with inclusions but appears clean. Stones with surface wear such as surface scratches, small chips and nicks. Some are glued, visible to reverse. Onyx with minor surface wear. Metal surfaces with normal signs of wear, scratches. Brooch fitting with some play, closes securely. Overall condition good.
