Description

  • turquoise, amethyst, gold
Claw-set with an oval cabochon amethyst, the shoulders set with cabochon turquoise, size K, sizing band, signed Cartier, fitted box stamped Cartier.

Condition

Accompanied by a facsimile of an invoice from Cartier London, dated 30th November 1966, stating that the amethyst cabochon weighs 44.36 carats. Signed Cartier to reverse of amethyst setting. Inscription obscured by sizing band, letter 'N' visible on shank. Amethyst measuring approximately 27 x 18 x 14mm stated to weigh 44.36 carats, deep purple in colour, transparent, with typical inclusions visible under magnification, some surface-reaching. Turquoises light greenish-blue, opaque, some with typical black matrix inclusions visible to the naked eye. Light scratches to stone and metal surfaces consistent with wear. Fitted box stamped Cartier. In good condition.
