- Platinum/Sapphire/coral/hard stone/diamond
Designed as a pelican, set with polished jadeite and coral, single-cut diamonds and calibré-cut and cabochon sapphires, signed Cartier, numbered, French assay mark, inscribed to reverse 'June 14.21 1939'.

Condition
French assay mark for platinum on side of jadeite setting. Signed Cartier, made in France on the bird's back. Dated June 14.21 1939 and numbered 03270 on reverse of beak. Jadeite pale green, translucent, with typical mottling and inclusions visible to the unaided eye, measuring approximately 14.2 x 11.0 x 5.5mm. Coral orangey-pink, opaque, sapphires deep blue, with typical inclusions visible under magnification. Diamonds bright and lively, estimated total diamond weight approximately 0.50 - 1.00 carats. Overall dimensions approximately 31 x 23mm. Light scratches to metal, stone and coral surfaces consistent with age and wear. Brooch pin fitting secure. In good condition.
