Set with variously shaped coloured gemstones including emeralds, sapphires, pink, green and yellow sapphires, tourmalines and rubies, accented with brilliant-cut diamonds, length approximately 400mm, Austrian assay and maker's marks, case stamped Haban.

Traditionally, gemstones have been treated by a variety of techniques to enhance colour and generally to improve their appearance. Typically, rubies and sapphires have been treated by oil or resin to improve colour and clarity. These or other techniques, such as dyeing, irradiation, coating and impregnation, may be used on other gemstones. Although it is widely believed that heat treatments are permanent, purchasers should assume that any treatment may not be permanent and that over time special care of the stone must be required. Prospective buyers are reminded that, unless the catalogue description specifically stated that a stones is natural, we have assumed that some form of treatment may have been used and that such treatment may not be permanent. Our presale estimates reflect this assumption. Austrian maker's and assay mark and stamped 750 for 18 carat gold. Emeralds, rubies, tourmalines, yellow, green and blue sapphires, of light to strong saturation, some surface reaching typical inclusions, minor scratches, abrasions, chips and cavities. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 3.75 - 4.25 carats, on average K-L colour, SI clarity, as far as yellow gold permits. Clasp secure, safety catch. Little evidence of wear to the metal. Gross weight approximately 153 grams.
