Ruby and diamond brooch

Of floral and foliate design, set with a cabochon ruby framed with cushion-shaped and circular-cut diamonds, the mounted further accented with similarly cut and rose diamonds, partial French assay and maker's marks.

French import mark for gold and partial maker's mark. Ruby purple red, opaque, typical surface-reaching inclusions, scratches and nicks. Diamonds bright and lively. Signs of tarnish and normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use. Clasp secure. In good condition. Total gross weight approximately 23 grams.
