The necklace designed as three rows of cultured pearls measuring from approximately 7.00 to 7.50mm, the clasp set with a step-cut aquamarine framed with brilliant- and single-cut diamonds, shortest length approximately 525mm, and a ring set with a step-cut aquamarine between marquise-shaped and brilliant-cut diamond shoulders, size 54.

Formerly in the collection of Erna Sack (1898-1972).
Condition
Cultured pearls measuring from approximately 7.15 to 7.35mm, of slightly cream body colour, partly with rosé and green overtones, with good skin and luster, pinpoints and growth marks. Aquamarines measuring approximately 28.50 x 19.87 x 11.85mm and 17.40 x 14.08 x 10.63mm, calculated to weigh approximately 45 and 17 carats respectively, bluish green and greenish blue of medium strong saturation, clean to the naked eye, with minor abrasions. Diamonds bright and lively, estimated to weigh a total of approximately 1.50 - 2.00 carats. Signs of wear to the metal, evidence of resizing to the ring. Clasp secure on the necklace, safety catches. In good condition. Total gross weight approximately 138 grams.

Catalogue Note
Erna Dorothea Luise Sack was a German singer known for her ability to reach unusually high vocal ranges. Born in Spandau in 1898, her voice was rapidly noticed in the choir in which she sang. She was active on the international scene from 1930 to 1957, also appearing in several movies.
