註：題木盒者有二，一位為王治本(1836-1908)，字維能，號黍園，清慈溪黃山村人，精詩文，工書畫，曾於清光緒三年(1877)赴日，結識日本貴族大河內輝聲，推薦《紅樓夢》，並把二人筆談結集成《黍園筆話》，其足跡遍及日本各地逾三十年。
另一位為中村蘭臺(1856-1915)，一作中村蘭臺初世，名稻吉，號蘭臺、蘇香、香草居主人、天芳逸士。嗜古研、篆籀，治印尤精，博取彝磚瓦，崇中國篆刻家徐三庚作品，風格自由，存世有《醉漢堂印存》、《蘭臺印集》、《香草印譜》、《蝸廬印譜》等。
