上款：「洗盋」即何汝穆（1870-1923），字熙伯，號洗缽，安徽人，寓居海上。曾任職上海招商局。他工書畫，好詩詞，活躍於當地文化界，為海上題襟館金石書畫會之前身上海書畫研究會成員，與吳昌碩、蒲華交誼尤篤，亦屢得諸家如虛谷、楊峴、楊伯潤等贈畫。
註：何熙伯祖籍安徽，惟為生計，長寓滬上，久未返鄉。本卷之源起，蓋其思鄉情切，「夢魂常自念家山」，遂囑顧雲壺以「夢家山園」入圖，以寄思鄉之懷。畫中純以水墨出之，見近渚處蘆葦叢生，高士小廔獨坐，秉燭夜讀，全幅水份與淡墨混融，矇矓間，猶如身在夢中。寫畢， 自跋長詩，時維一八八九年。
一八九三年始，他遍邀友好補題，楊峴、朱士林題耑首，卷末題咏者逾廿，前後逾十載，並幾度接紙，共長逾八米，可見經營用心。其中，吳昌碩、蒲華與其感情最為要好，傳世畫迹中，三人相互題寫、唱和、合寫、寫贈之作品夥而精，熙伯不少印章即出諸缶老；一九一一年蒲作英仙遊，身後事亦賴昌碩及熙伯料理。吳蒲二人先後應囑，賦題長詩，缶老更於題跋後逾十載再度署簽。
其餘題跋者，多為文化界友好，如陸恢，並以詞人最夥，如潘飛聲、譚獻、宗得福、萬釗、吳昌言等，皆富文采。當中足堪一記者，乃李蘋香（1880-?），徽州人，出身望族，後家道中落，因遭淪落風塵。她擅詩詞，與李叔同曾往來甚密，後出家為尼。
另，傳世資料多謂何汝穆為浙人，或因其活動範圍之故，本卷即可証此謬誤。
