註：張善子筆下以山君稱著，花鳥草蟲非慣常所出，偶寫之，皆以條幅為主，冊頁甚為稀見。本冊十二開，以花卉為主，或點綴昆蟲，或配游魚。若參照道咸期間畫家倪耘一八五七年所繪之十二開〈花卉冊〉，兩者內容、題詩，幾近一致，惟畫面尺寸橫竪不同，構圖略有變化，倪冊上題「摹東園客本」，故兩冊應皆得稿自惲壽平。本冊雖為仿古，惟寫來筆墨隨心，設色清雅，輕淡明快，自然生動，俱見畫家功力。冊首以山君一開，打破全冊花卉之局面，蓋是時他借寓蘇州網師園，喜養虎而觀其態，故寫來不重山君之雄姿，反呈垂首馴服之態，狀憨可愛。同年同月，他另寫〈雜冊〉十二開，亦以詩配花卉昆蟲，風格類近，足見他是時心情舒暢，筆下所出，皆愜意自娛之消閒小品。
