Condition
Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the tonality of the red background is slightly brighter and more vibrant in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. Close inspection reveals a few specks of loss following the figure's silhouette towards the right hand side of the composition. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals a few specks of fluorescence on the figure's chest and hand towards the right of the composition, which don't appear to be restoration. Further extremely close inspection under ultraviolet light reveals some spots where the upper layer of paint appears to have been stabilised on the extreme lower edge.
