Condition
FR : Le cadre en très bon état général. Quelques très rares et très infimes éclats sur les rebords du cadre en verre.
Quelques petites piqûres d’oxydation sur les parties métalliques.
Le dessin n’a pas été décadré. Une petite trace d’humidité à l’angle supérieur gauche. La signature est en partie effacée.
EN : The frame in very good overall condition. Some very minute and rare chips on the edges of the glass frame.
Some oxidation pitting on the metal parts.
The gouache has not been un-framed. There is a small humidity stain on the upper left angle. The signature is partially erased.

"Monsieur
J’ai vu quelques unes de vos aquarelles chez mon amie Rose Adler. Je
les aime beaucoup. Elles ont pour moi ces qualités et cette poésie
qui s’exprime par des moyens exclusifs de peintre et qu’on découvre
si rarement dans la foire à la peinture contemporaine. Comme j’aurai
beaucoup de plaisir à en garder une devant les yeux, j’en ai choisi
une qui me plaisait tout particulièrement et pour laquelle Rose Adler
veut bien composer une présentation appropriée comme elle sait si
bien les réussir. Vous voudrez bien trouver ci joint un chèque de f 200.
Je vous remercie encore du plaisir que vous m’avez fait et je vous
prie de croire à mes sentiments les meilleurs."
