Condition
Condition consistent with age and use.
The wooden parts are in good overall condition with some minor dents on the edges, some scratches and shallow scuffs.
Oxidation and minor dents on the brass, all consistent with age and use. A missing nail on the proper right back corner of the seat with a small lifting of the brass. On the proper front right foot, the brass is damaged, with missing parts, revealing the partially torn vellum underneath and some of the wood (with chips and lacks of wood).
The vellum seems to be the original one.
On the backrest, the colours and the gilding of the vellum are slightly faded. A few minor stains and some humidity traces. A small lifting of vellum on the proper top right corner,.
On the seat, the vellum is mildly warped and partially torn around the nails. Overall tarnishing of the vellum and fading of the colours. Several dents on the edges and the corners. Four tears revealing the wood underneath : 3 on the front edge of approximately 2-3 cm of length and one circular on the back edge of approximately 1x0,5 cm.
The vellum on the feet is partially darkened, with one tear on the proper front left foot of approximately 2 cm length.
There are a few woodworms holes scattered on the wood and the vellum.
