Catalogue Note
The Vermont based artist and designer Johnny Swing creates furniture out of thousands of coins welded into structural meshes. Entirely fluid surfaces are created in his workshops to form sculptural bases onto which he composes his smooth coin patched creations. The results are stunning and intricate in their aesthetic: the swirling organic pieces reveal their complex coin mosaic craftsmanship as one gets closer to them.
