with a slender and gnarled structure and accentuated with protruding burls, the irregular outline further issuing two thinner twigs near the top, incised with an excerpt from a poem written by Yuan dynasty poet Li Cai, the inscription extending along the staff in running script, the surface well patinated to a warm reddish-brown colour
