Condition

This work is in very good and sound condition overall. There is evidence of light wear and handling to the sides and edges of the cabinet, most noticeably along the rear edge which comes in contact with the wall, and in the bottom two rear corners where some minor paint loss is visible. There is also a small dent in the top right front corner of the cabinet, which has resulted in minor pigment loss. Upon close inspection there is evidence of faint stable craquelure in all four corners of the cabinet. Ash accretions and smudging inside the case is inherent to the medium and the artist's working method.
