Condition
This work is in very good condition overall. There is evidence of wear and handling along the edges and the canvas is lightly soiled throughout, most visible at the edges. There are inconsistencies to the unpainted canvas including scattered pulls to the weave, most notably a diagonal pull in the upper right quadrant. Scattered media accretions appear to be inherent to the artist’s working method and from the time of execution and there is a faint horizontal line extending across the canvas in the upper quarter and in the center of the canvas. Under very close inspection, some minor and unobtrusive scattered surface abrasions and faint scratches are visible in the ochre color band. Under Ultraviolet light inspection, there is no evidence of restoration. Unframed.
Please note the auction begins at 9:30 am on November 17th.
