cold painted bronze, mid-brown patina, signed A.M. WOLFF, inscribed AKT. GES. GLADENBECK-BERLIN and stamped D4613

Provenance

Sotheby's London, 27 June 2007, lot 175

Condition

In overall fair condition and presentation. The patina is fairly even throughout with few areas of minor discoloration or residue consistent with age, handling and changes in atmospheric conditions. The spear and toggle on camel's nose are bent and the figure appears to be lacking a wooden base that would allow for the "rug" to appear to be draped. There is an additional, associated rifle that is not present in other examples.
