With an inscription from a poem by Baba Tahir reading If you come I will tend to your soul. If you do not come I will make do with [the burden of] your separation.

Condition

Pile ranges from near original, closely shorn approximately 1/10in. to low to knotheads in some scattered foldwear areas; not extensive. A few visible warp ties; not extensive. 5in. repaired tear on left side mostly visible on reverse. Upper section of right side slightly curling under due to density of weave. Sides later overcast. Lower end with remnants on warp fringes, upper end with some warp fringes and cloth tape with hanging rings sewn on reverse. Very supple handle, sound fabric and condition.
