the first after the model by J.J. Kändler, with two nymphs and a putto hauling in a net filled with fish and tritons, the second group modelled with Bacchus wearing a leopard's pelt seated on a barrel, his companion pouring wine, both on rockwork bases, crossed swords marks in underglaze-blue, incised model numbers C35 and C.35.X., to Tritons group impressed numerals 67, 51., painted numeral 174 in iron-red, 31.5cm., 11 3/8 in. and 32.5cm., 12 3/4 in. high; together with a Meissen porcelain group of the Drunken Silenus, Silenus slumped on the back of a donkey supported by a standing figure on a scroll edged base, crossed swords marks in underglaze-blue, incised model number 2724, impressed numeral 125, 20.5cm., 8 1/8 in. high

Condition

The Triton group, one branch of leaves re-stuck, the left arm of the standing figure restored. There is restoration around the rocky base under the standing figure, it is possible the figure has been detached though it is difficult to be certain when viewed under a UV light. The Bacchus group, the staff in bacchus' left hand restored. The fawn figure at the front re-stuck. There is repair to cupd's bow. Both have typical chips to extremities. The Drunken Silenus group, the female figure's right foot is restored as is the male figure's staff that he holds in his hand.
