Description

  • oak & beechwood, brass, steel, enamel, glass
  • 83cm. 32¾in. high
9¼-inch enamel dial, the three train movement with pivoted verge escapement & silk suspension, quarter chiming on two bells and striking on a further bell, the cadrature mounted on the backplate, signed on the backplate J Robert et Fils, a la Chaux de Fonds, the Louis XV-style waisted case with scroll surmount above fopliate scroll and vase mounts, the whole painted with roses on a green ground  

Condition

Dial has minor chips to the winding holes but otherwise good. Movement appears to be complete but is much in need of a clean and service. Case gilding to mounts very rubbed or lacking and mounts are dirty, surmount is loose, decoration has many old chips, marks and scuffs throughout. With pendulum, winder and case key.
