Condition
The canvas is lined, the paint surface is stable and the varnish is clear and even. There is a small area of dirt on the white shawl (visible in the catalogue illustration). There are small paint losses in the upper right corner, on the centre right margin, and in her right shoe. Some areas of retouching are visible to the naked eye, two in the sky upper left, the largest of which is approx. 10 cm. long, and upper right in the arch approx. 3 x 3 cm. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals small areas of retouching scattered throughout, however the figure is largely untouched. In overall very good condition.
