Condition

The panel is flat and uncradled. It has been beveled on all four sides. The paint surface is relatively clean and the varnish is discoloured. Ultra violet inspection reveals some retouching in the ye and forehead of the sitter and an uneven, milky varnish which makes other restoration difficult to discern. It is overall in good condition. The work is offered in a stained Dutch style frame.
