the caned and pierced backs flanked by turned columns headed by finials, on scrolled and carved armrests above turned and carved legs joined by stretchers; one with an upholstered green velvet seat, together with a further example, on turned legs joined by a stretcher (4)

Condition

In good conserved condition, with marks and scratches consistent with age and use and traces of old woodworm which appears to be no longer active. One armchair with minor repairs to the left side of the back rest and to the scrolled end of the left arm rest. The two other armchairs in similar condition, one with a repair to the stretcher. The armchair is in good conserved condition, with marks and scratches consistent with age and use and traces of old woodworm which appears to be no longer active, as well as very minor losses, most notably to the front-left foot, and old fillings to the surface. Part of the stretcher, the feet and seat probably later.
