Condition

Overall in good restored condition. Old marks and scratches to the legs as to be expected. The back legs and back seat rail are possibly later. There are some areas of later needlework, for example to the corners of the padded seat, and strips of the arms (worked on a wider guage of canvas), which are a lime green rather than an apple green in tone, and there are repairs to the padded seat, as visible in the photograph. There is an area of exposed linen canvas to the top left corner of the chair. The needlework is in professionally restored condition, and is in stable usable condition. The back of the chair is covered in modern plain pale blue velvet, and the edges have been applied with modern twisted cord, of a complimentary pale sage colour.
