  • Walnut, tapestry
upholstered with 16th century Flemish floral tapestry border fragments, the carved armrests on turned legs joined by stretchers; together with a similar footstool and tapestry

Condition

Of sound and sturdy construction, this armchair displays overall marks and scratches consistent with age and use as well as some minor construction cracks and traces of old woodworm no longer active. Although virtually ready to place, it might benefit from a light cleaning according to taste. The stool in similar condition. The Flemish tapestry used on the chair and stool has some repairs and reweaving and some areas of weakness with some loose silk threads, and later edges to the stool. In overall stable usable condition.
