each painted in the center with the crest and arms of the Perkins and Sanders families, comprising: four square shaped dishes, two oval shaped dishes, a sauce tureen and cover, eight dessert plates and eight salad plates, impressed crowned FBB marks24 pieces.

Condition

There are some occasional rubbing to the gilding in overall. Square shaped dishes: There are several small flat chips to the underside of the rim or pinhead chips along edges. Oval-shaped dishes: There are some minors scratching wear to the green enamels in the cavetto area. One has two additional pinhead chips to the underside of the rim. Sauce tureen and cover: One pinhead chip to the underside of the rim edge and an approximate 1/5-inch slice chip to the underside of the base. Plates: There is some very minor occasional and very minor scratching or wear to the green enamels in the cavetto area, some of each may be related to misfiring. Dessert plates: One has a small slice chip to the underside of the rim. Two, each with a small chip to the rim. Salad plates: One has a small flat chip to the underside of the rim and another with a flat chip to the rim edge.

Catalogue Note

Frederick Perkins married Susanna Sanders in 1801, with whom he had six sons and seven daughters. James Fairbairn, Fairbairn's Crests of the Families of Great Britain and Ireland, lists the Sander's coat of arms, p. 420, pl. 68, cr. 4 as 'an elephant's head, erased, per chevron, sable and argent, armed, gold".
