Catalogue Note
Victor Hugo's most poetic and mysterious works were executed at the beginning of his exile. This important drawing from 1854-56 shows his passion for medieval architecture.
We would like to thank Pierre Georgel for kindly confirming the authenticity of this work which will be included in the catalogue raisonné in preparation.
