worked as a curled lotus leaf with three birds perched on its furled edges, borne on curved stems issuing lotus flowers and further leaves on the base, the polished stone of a translucent green tone suffused with apple-green and caramel-russet inclusions

Collection of T.Y. Chao (1912-1999), and thence by descent in the family.

Condition

The washer is in good condition. There are expected minor nicks to the extremities with tiny sections possibly lightly polished.
