of ovoid form, painted with ladies and children at play in a garden, the flat cover with further boys and overhanging floral sprays

Provenance

Collection of T.Y. Chao (1912-1999), and thence by descent in the family.

Condition

The jar is in overall good condition with surface scratches and firing imperfections including a firing line to the base. The cover has a hairline crack and another V-shaped one with related chips.
