Condition

This work is in good condition overall. Evidence of wear in handling and abrasion is observed along the edges of the table. Webs of veins running across the table surface are inherent to the medium chosen by the designer. Faint scratches are observed to be scarcely scattered across the table surface, visible only under raking light and close inspection. Evidence of abrasion and accretion are observed along the sides and on the underside of the eight table legs. On the underside of the table, minor wood chips are observed on the edges of the supporting elements. Small wood splits are observed close to the joints of the supporting elements, which are possibly intrinsic to the artist's method of execution. All aforementioned condition issues are consistent with age and use of the work.
