Catalogue Note
The drawing consists of two images of Pepito seen from behind, raising his hat and waving good-bye. Madeline is seen from the front, a tear running down her cheek and a handkerchief clutched in her hand. The drawing is most likely a study for the illustration captioned "Fasten your seat belts, in half an hour / You will see the Eiffel Tower," from Madeline in London (1961).
