cast as reclining female nudes, among multiple fauns with a large satyr at one end,  in a naturalistic woodland setting, around a welled lined centre, body signed E. LETOURNEAU. SC., also A.DELPY.E.DIT.PARIS

Condition

Good condition. A little minor wear to silvering but generally good. Weight is approximately 47kg.

The French sculptor Edouard Letourneau (1851-1907) was a pupil of Emmanuel Frémiet. His principal subjects included Oriental and Exotic subjects. His work was exhibited at the Salon de Paris between 1874 and 1907.
