Description

  • 25.2cm., 9 7/8 in. long
in the style of Paul de Lamerie, the fluted shells with gadroon rims pierced with flutes and diapers, the boldly cast caryatid handles with dolphin tail junctions,  spreading on to three stylised dolphin feet

Condition

The makers marks to the later example is rubbed almost smooth, otherwise both clear. Very good gauge and condition overall good.
