Condition
Three men, one with his finger being bitten by a dog in a box:
The canvas is relined and the picture surface is clean. There are some old retouchings to the back of the right figure. Inspection under ultra violet light reveals a layer of uneven varnish and old retouching on the hand of the right figure, scattered throughout the sky and the architecture in the background, mainly on the right side. There are some minor, more recent retouchings to the face of the middle figure. Overall, the painting is in very good condition. The painting is offered in a gilded carved and moulded frame in very good condition.
Three figures carousing:
The overall surface is clean. There are retouchings in the sky on the right side, the man's hat and the child's hand on the jar.
Inspection under ultra violet light reveals a layer of uneven varnish and further retouchings to the woman's face and right arm and to the child's face, and to the left and right edges.
