Condition

This work appears to be in generally good overall condition. There are traces of dust along the upper stretcher edge. There is a minor scratch with a tiny hole towards the right lower margin and a trace of fold along the right margin, visible in the catalogue illustration and on the catalogue raisonné image, probably inherent to the artist's choice of material.

Catalogue Note

(Jean-Christophe Ammann, Alighiero Boetti. Catalogo generale. Tomo primo, Milano 2009, p. 218)

The small Mimetici differ one from the other for the cut of the fabric and therefore for the conformation of the camouflage. With the realization of these exemplars, the cycle ends in 1968, started two years before with the work n. 100 [Mimetico 1966], which Alighiero Boetti "ideally" links to by writing on the back of each small Mimetico the date "66".
