Catalogue Note
"Friends, characters, lovers depicted in in a three-dimensional domestic environment, modify the surface of the canvas through its padding, transforming it into a painting-object. A lively story contained in an interior, created by a "prop man of genius" - as defined by Vittorio Rubiu - constructed with floral fabrics, stitching, natural colours and fabrics or paintings that, for the intense and overloaded decoration recall Vuillard’s paintings. Similarly to the French artist, the craftsmanship aspect is underlined: "The nails, rags and wool to be stuffed, were used as craftsman’s and artist’s tools, while Tacchi kept in mind the work of Mondrian and photography, the cinematic framing, the work of Burri, Pop Art and of course de Chirico"
