Condition
As shown. Large ancient or Medieval mortice on short side next to soldier's elbow. Entire surface of ancient Roman side is covered in criss-crossing chisel marks, which appear to be ancient and could have served as surface preparation for application of gesso and pigment. Note abraded edges and several fresh chips to drapery and edges of architectural features. Areas of mossy growth over proper right shoulder, where drapery and fibula are abraded away. Chips and abrasions overall.
