  • An Egyptian Wood Ushabti of Amenemope

  • Height from modern base 14.9 cm.
holding farming tools and a seed-sack suspended over his back from both shoulders, and wearing a broad collar and striated tripartite wig, the face and ears finely carved, the seven lines of inscription including the name of the owner Amenemope.

Condition

Small chip on chin. Tip of nose rubbed. Proper left side of back slightly delaminated, as well as proper elbow. Area of dark sticky material on feet as shown. Remains of greenish pigments inside inscription grooves.
