Oil on paper laid down on board. Surface: In generally very good condition aside from scattered areas of frame abrasion and the board is slightly warped. UNDER UV: Scattered pindots of inpainting (mostly in the sky), a 1 inch vertical repair in the water near the left edge, and a 1/2 inch spot of inpainting in the water near the center.

In a letter from Gordon Hendricks regarding this work, he states, "The Farallons are islands twenty miles due west of San Francisco, and were the inspiration for several large pictures by the artist, including the well-known Seal Rocks, Farallon Islands in the New Britain Museum of American Art."
