Condition
The canvas is original and is somewhat loose on its stretcher - it could benefit from some light retensioning. There are four pin-head sized nail holes in the four corners, visible only upon close inspection, and some light drying craquelure notably in the dark pigments of the turkey in the centre of the composition. Ultra-violet light reveals some intermittent strokes of retouching along the upper and lower framing edges and some isolated spots addressing craquelure notably in the upper left quadrant. The picture is otherwise in good condition and ready to hang.
Presented in a decorative gilt frame with some losses in the upper right corner.
