Condition
The canvas has not been lined. There are some small tears in the canvas in the extreme framing edges, covered by the frame. Ultra-violet light reveals some strokes of retouching addressing frame rubbing along the right framing edge, one fine diagonal stroke in the background in the centre of the left framing edge and some other pin-head sized scattered spots. However, the figure remains untouched. Overall, this work is in good condition and ready to hang.
Presented in a decorative gilt frame.
