Condition
The canvas is original. There is a pattern of fine drying craquelure in the white pigments in the sky. Ultra-violet light reveals scattered fine lines of retouching throughout, notably in the foreground and in the sky in the upper left. However, these have been finely applied and are not visible to the naked eye. This work is in overall good condition and ready to hang.
Presented in a dark wooden frame.
Colours are somewhat less red than in the catalogue illustration.
