Condition

Overall the condition of the terracotta is good with minor dirt and wear consistent with age. There are some small flecks of dark residue to the surface in particular to the proper right side of the face and neck. There are some small lacunae in the terracotta. The hair and flowers are in very good condition, though there is a possible chip to a lead above the proper right eye. It is possible there could be a few further chips. There is possibly minor restoration to the back by the signature on the right side. There are some chips to the glazed tile including to the front left corner. Craquelure to the glaze consistent with the material. Minor stable splitting to the ebonised wood socle. General wear to the paint at the edges.
