Overall the condition of the marble is good, with some wear and dirt to the surface consistent with age. There is slight sheen to the surface, and it is very slightly textured, possibly due to past cleaning. There are a few small chips, notably around the edge of the truncation. A section of the socle at the front is reattached, with some discoloured residue around the joint. There is a loss to the bottom of the socle at the back. There are a few minor dirt marks and residues, notably at the back and at the proper left temple. There is light veining to the marble, consistent with the material.
