Overall the condition of the marble is good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is light weathering to the surface throughout, and some dirt in areas, consistent with placement outdoors; the marble may benefit from a light professional cleaning. There is a loss to the Virgin's proper left index finger, with a small metal strut showing. There are a few very minor chips and abrasions, including to Christ's proper left hand, some of the edges of the drapery, and to the bottom edge.
