Condition

Overall the condition of the bronze is good, with some wear and dirt to the surface consistent with age. There is wear to the patina, including rubbing and light surface scratches. Small areas of loss to the patina include one below the proper right breast and another to the lower back. There are particular minor scratches to the upper back and the proper left arm. There are also nicks to the proper right arm. There are a few small lacunae, as a result of casting, to the proper left shin. There are further more shallow original lacunae to the edges of the terrasse. The bow is detachable in two parts. The figure may have had an arrow, which is now lost.
