There is dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. The surface of the marble is very smooth, which may indicate that the marble has been weathered slightly and subsequently repolished in areas. There is some yellow staining, in particular to the back of the head and the back. The tip of the shoe has been reattached. There are a few small chips, including to some of the petals of the flowers at the base. There is minor veining, and there are inclusions to the marble, consistent with the material, including to the back of the neck, the chest, and the proper left hand. Otherwise, the condition of the marble is good. The verde antico column is in good condition, with a few chips and losses to the edges. There are veins to the marble consistent with the material.
